I returned from Australia a week ago.
In total I stayed in Australia 8 days of which 2 nights in Sydney and the rest of the time in Melbourne.
It was nice to be back in a "western" country for a bit, lots of things you never thought you miss all of a sudden feel nice and familiar.
I think I can describe Australia as a mix between Europe and America, especially the suburbs look very American but some parts of Sydney have a very authentic European feel to it. With its strong European, mostly British, roots this is no surprise.
Enjoy lots of photos in the photo gallery or check the video above!
Of course I also had the green light presentation there.

Every access card has its own little branding sentence, and mine had "Get the green light" written on it. It was a cool sign, even though it was pure coincidence.

This is the unconspicuous door to the inner-city office of Nielsen in Sydney. Very central located in a long but not very wide building just a block away from my hotel and Hyde Park.

So this is the room in which I did my green light, nothing special but still comfy enough.
My mac on the left with the presentation and my boss and her mac on right.
It is slowly already turning dark outside, the presentation was at 5:30 in the Australian autumn because of the time difference and it is already getting dark outside.
The presentation went pretty smooth, it is still very hard to do a presentation over the internet. I shared my screen through skype and it is hard to have to sit down and talk to a screen.
Luckily my message came across and my tutors and my boss were all confident enough to give me a green.
I do have to do a lot of work in the last 3 weeks though!
So it was time to head back to Kuala Lumpur.
Back now in Kuala Lumpur it is time to get some strong results from my survey research that I did to back my theory research.
This means extreme usage of highlighters and long sheets of numbers.

At this point I managed to write some concluding results from one test and I am now finishing up the results from the other tests.
Next week is a week left to finish writing the conclusion and recommendation and the final week to work on the project.
In the past 3 months I moved desk and my new desk is getting a bit more decorated. One of my two plants still isn't (completely) dead and I managed to share screens between the laptops over my personal set up wi-fi.
I think I will miss this desk when I have to leave the office in two weeks, maybe I get a chance to come back and claim this desk again. I like it :).
China town
Oh ya, I also took some photos in China Town in downtown Kuala Lumpur, check them out
here.
More updates later!
