Well, as being a sneezer in the media world I would like to bring ya'll something new and innovative once in a while.
This could be from mind twists (see below) to just fun webcontent.
Today a new videoclip was posted on surely one of my favorite websites,
BoardsMag
This is clip especially attracted me because of my recent visit to Thailand. I actually wanted to make something like that there. It's very much my kind of style. This is landscape filming done properly.
Also the soundtrack is excellent!
Anyawys, check it out:
Kenneth Bager - Fragment 8
Something else I wanted to rant about it drinking habits in bussiness meetings.
When meeting a client or a boss and you do this in a public place, for example in a restaurant or a local coffee place, it is important to choose that how fast do you drink your drink?
This might not sound important but it very crucial to your success.
The only action next to having a negotiation with him, you are consuming something. The other person will keep track of what your stance is. You know that 60% of peoples communication is through body language. This is a part of that.
So, this will mean, drinking your coffee too fast means you are greedy. (the worst is burning your lips on hot coffee or tea).
But drinking too slow might suggest you are not enjoying your drink, or that you are not enjoying yourself and you are not comfortable. This will give the other person the upper hand or even worse make him uncomfortable too.
Depending on the situation, we can flip over to the other side:
Drinking greedy and quick could also give the other the impression that you are the leader. This will give him peer pressure and forces him to go allong with you.
This makes him more vulnarable and gullible.
Drinking slowly could also mean you are paying a lot of attention on the conversation you are actually forgetting to drink. Or even better you are not greedy at all and you seem to be wise and smart and pacing your steps over time.
So adjust your way of drinking to the stance fitting the occasion and person.
Where the first is mostly best when you have a strong opponent you are respect
The second one is much better for the opponent you want to dominate.
Also important is chosing your moments for drinking.
For example after your client has finished a proposition and he is waiting for you to reply.
- Take a big zip, make that coca-cola branded "aah" and stare outside for a bit like you are going to a different dimension while tasting the aroma of your beverage. Then answer slowely like coming out of a trance.
(disclaimer: this does NOT work when you are drinking spa water)
Drink to impress.
